Can art convey art?
Potato Print in Psychodrama
Can art convey art? How do we approach an exhibition through our own creative endeavours?
In the workshop Potato Print and Psychodrama, artist Gernot Wieland and curatorial assistant Clara Kramer invite participants to become artistically active themselves. Clara Kramer will use creative exercises to introduce participants to Gernot Wieland’s new film and the works by Carla Åhlander, Jeroen Jacobs, Lisa Robertson and Maxwell Stephens, which can also be seen in the exhibition. Together we will approach the works through drawing, look at them, question them and exchange ideas. What can we discover about drawing? What associations do they evoke? What different discoveries, individual approaches and conclusions can be found?
In the second half of the workshop, Gernot Wieland will guide the participants to imagine themselves in the role of a fictional character and to develop an additional artwork for the exhibition using potato printing.
