Awarded Studios
The Künstler:innenhaus Bremen has 17 studios of various sizes, which are regularly advertised to the public and awarded to visual artists living in Bremen for a period of up to five years with the option to extend for a further two years by an independent external jury of experts. In this way, Bremen artists are offered the opportunity to establish themselves in a professional and interdisciplinary environment at favourable rental conditions.
General information on membership:
The studios are allocated for a period of five years with the option to extend for a further two years. The studios are not barrier-free. A condition for the allocation of studios is the willingness of an active membership, i.e. co-operation and commitment in the supporting association KH Künstler:innenhaus Bremen e. V..

Who can apply?
Applications are open to visual artists registered in Bremen who have completed their art studies at an art academy or comparable institution. The degree should be available at the start of the tenancy. Several artists together or collectives can also apply for a studio. An independent external jury of experts will decide on the allocation of studios. -

Size: 55 m2
Monthly rent: 245 € (incl. heating, electricity and WiFi)
Available: 01.01.2026A condition for the awarding of a studio is the willingness for active membership, i.e. cooperation and commitment in supporting the association of the K:H Bremen. The annual membership fee is €55.
Visits to the studios will take place on the following days:
- Tuesday, 15.04. at 3:30 pm
- Wednesday, 16.04. at 12:00 noon
