About us
The Künstler:innenhaus Bremen (KH Bremen for short) has existed for 30 years.
It is a lively place. Art is made and shown here. There are many different rooms. For example, studios for artists. There is also a wood workshop and a printing workshop Sometimes visitors can take a look at the studios and the workshops. And see exhibitions in the gallery. Organisations also work in the building. One example is the Bremen Artists’ Association (BBK). There is also the GEDOK. These organzisations help artists with their work problems and organise exhibitions for them. Another organization is called Bremer Kunst Satellit. It sends artists to exhibitions all over the world. (The organisations are members of an association).Studios
The KH Bremen rents studios to artists from various fields. For instance: painting, film, photography, installation, sculpture or performance. All artists from these fields can apply. They also need to live in Bremen. A group of experts will then decide who gets the studio. It awards the studios for 5 years. This is a great opportunity for Bremen artists. Especially in the years following their graduation. It allows them to get to know a professional environment. he employees at KH Bremen help them with this. For example, they organize the open studio days. They organize individual visits to the studios, for example, or write texts like this one.Are you interested in a studio?
