As part of the workshop Can Art Teach Art?, we—art educators Clara Kramer and Marisa Müller—invite participants to get creative themselves in the current exhibition In der Wiederholung beginnen wir.
In doing so, we aim to connect with one another and with Nina Emge’s works. We’ll explore how the artworks and the space affect us, experimenting with active and passive listening as well as sharing our experiences. By repeatedly translating what we hear into drawings on paper, we aim to visualize the sound of the exhibition. What possibilities does this translation hold, and how does what we hear change in the process of translation?
The focus is less on the end result and more on collectively experimenting with, perceiving, and reflecting on the exhibition.
