Studio Visit
with guest fellow Farideh Jamshidi

For her Open Studio event, this year’s guest scholarship holder Farideh Jamshidi provides insights into her current work, which was created during her scholarship at K:H Bremen.
Central, recurring elements in Jamshidi’s work are primarily repetitive patterns and ornaments, which she often creates using analog photo collages. Not only aesthetically but also thematically she repeatedly refers to the world of her former home country, Iran. In her multi-perspective images or architectural models, for example, she questions Western viewing habits.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our guest studio!
