Guest Residency 2010: Susanne Hanus
The artist was born in Berlin; she has been a freelance artist since 2004 and lives and works in Munich. She studied fine art at the HdK Berlin, the HfBK Dresden and at the Glasgow School of Art (2002 diploma: HfBK Dresden). She was a master student of Prof. Martin Honert in Dresden. She also studied fine art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Prof. Stephan Dillemuth and passed her state examination there. From 2011 to 2012, she taught drawing at the HfBK Dresden. She has received many prizes and scholarships, including a residency scholarship in Switzerland (Solothurn) from 2011 to 2012, before which she was awarded the BBK Munich debutant grant in 2009. Her works have already been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
